what this is

dawn.place is one shared picture that everybody paints, one pixel at a time. signing in means you agree to what is written here and to the privacy policy.

how many pixels you get

one every 24 hours. unspent ones bank up to 5, and painting on consecutive days earns them faster.

the rates are described on the how it works page, and they may be adjusted. if they are, it applies going forward, not to pixels you already earned.

nothing you place is yours

once a pixel is committed it is part of the board. for the first 24 hours nobody else can paint over it. after that, anyone can, and there is no undo.

that is the point of the site rather than a flaw in it. do not place anything you would be upset to lose.

what you may not paint

• slurs, hate symbols, or anything targeting a group of people
• sexual content
• anyone's personal information
• anything illegal where you are or where site is hosted

this applies to what a group of pixels adds up to, not just to your one. helping build something on this list counts as painting it.

reporting and moderation

anyone can report an area. enough separate reports on the same area hide it automatically until it is looked at.

the site owner can hide an area, lock it, roll it back to how it looked earlier, or ban an account. bans are attached to your google account, so making a new one does not lift them.

these are judgement calls made by a person. if you think one was wrong, email the address at the bottom.

one account each

one account per person. do not make extra accounts to get extra pixels, and do not automate placing them. both are grounds for a ban.

what this site does not promise

dawn.place is run by one person as a personal project. it may go down, lose data, change how it works, or stop existing. none of this comes with compensation.

your pixels are not property and cannot be sold, transferred, or claimed.

changes

if these terms change, the date at the top changes and the change is announced on the site.
